About Us

Our Story

At The Eisenstein Clinic, we believe pediatric care should be personal, respectful, and guided by both science and nature. Founded on the legacy of Dr. Mayer Eisenstein and carried forward by Dr. Jennifer Eisenstein, APN, DNP, our clinic serves children from newborn through age 18 with a unique blend of traditional medicine and natural, holistic options.

We understand that every child is unique, and so is every family’s approach to health. Our goal is to offer safe, effective medical care while respecting your values, listening to your concerns, and exploring options that work for your child. This may include standard treatments, natural alternatives, or an integrative plan that combines the best of both.

Founder, Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Jennifer Eisenstein, APN, DNP

Dr. Jennifer Eisenstein is a double board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice with over a decade of experience in patient care. Born and raised in Chicago, she earned all of her nursing degrees from DePaul University, where her doctorate focused on student health and wellness.

Since 2010, Dr. Jennifer has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, individualized care. She worked alongside her father, Dr. Mayer Eisenstein, whose commitment to parental rights and holistic wellness continues to inspire the clinic’s mission today.

A mother of four—Abby, Ethan, Jake, and Gavi—Dr. Jennifer understands firsthand the importance of safe, honest, and balanced healthcare for children. When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys teaching future nurse practitioners, exploring state parks, and spending time with her English bulldog puppy, Duckie.

Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Amanda Torres, APRN, FNP-C

Amanda Torres joined The Eisenstein Clinic in 2020 and brings a warm, attentive approach to pediatric care. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and is board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Amanda worked in labor and delivery, where she was honored with the Daisy Award for her advocacy and dedication to patients.

Amanda’s passion for family-centered, natural-when-possible care aligns perfectly with the clinic’s philosophy. She values listening to parents, respecting their choices, and working collaboratively to create care plans that fit each family’s needs.

She is happily married with four children—Ezra, Eliza, Elena, and Eliot—and welcomed her last three at home with a certified nurse midwife. Her personal and professional experiences allow her to connect deeply with families and provide care that feels both professional and personal.
